A vertical grinding machine precisely shapes and finishes workpieces using vertical orientation. The grinding wheel, instead of moving horizontally, travels vertically along the Z-axis, descending onto the workpiece to perform the grinding operation. This orientation often leads to easier loading and unloading of workpieces, as well as simplified manual handling. The operator can simply place the workpiece onto the machine's chuck.
